Since we founded Masazushi in Otaru, Hokkaido in 1935, we have engaged in “serving superb food, developing our staff, and making people happy,” which is our philosophy, for 85 years now.

Pursuing deliciousness that lasts for 100 years

Born and raised in Otaru, we have studied sushi and been trained under our father, the predecessor of Masazushi, since childhood. In other words, we have lived our lives with sushi.

Otaru City in Hokkaido, which has four distinct seasons, is home to a rich variety of nature and has nurtured food culture in season.

Thus, Masazushi hopes to continue creating one-of-a-kind sushi in harmony with the nature and seasons of Otaru City while bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients, and spread them throughout the world.

For 80 years, we have been committed to “serving superb food, developing our staff, and making people happy”, which is our philosophy that came from our desire to provide exquisite pleasure for our customers all over the world and bring happiness to people, communities, and societies as well through sushi. We will keep in mind that is our mission and make great efforts to achieve it.
